Temporary

Hello February! I can't remember the last time I was so excited about the beginning of a new month. Seriously, January was a bit crazy and exhausting but I am sure things will start to get better and easier from now on. If you remember, I have mentioned before that I am planning to move to a new place this weekend, so I was extremely busy in the last few days. Packing, carrying suitcases, unpacking and on repeat like that for almost two days. I am definitely drained out, but I am so glad at the same time that it's over and that I am settled in, in my new room. However, it's temporary. I only have three more months of university left, so I am not hiding those suitcases deep down in the basement just yet.

When you think about how quickly time passes, it really makes you focus on your priorities. The main ones in my life right now are for sure my studies and blogging. The next three months are going to be jam-packed with projects, assignments, and writing my dissertation but that does not mean I will forget things like taking a step back and letting myself blow off some steam. I don't exactly mean getting wasted in a bar, as in my case I prefer to relax by binge-watching TV shows, or reading with a cup of tea in bed, but you get the idea. So what I'm trying to remind myself and you all, is that no matter how busy, stressed and drained we all get sometimes, always try to find at least a few minutes for yourself during the day, or a few hours during the week and do something you love. Things are temporary, life is temporary, so if not now when? We all need to leave the worries behind more often, and this world will become a better place instantly.

I have to rush now to a friend's place - a dinner and watching a few episodes of a TV show is exactly what I need before a new busy week starts! Below are some pictures I snapped this morning of my new room, which finally feels quite cozy. One thing I love about Sundays, is that although there are things you have to do, you can still enjoy a long and lazy morning. Warm oatmeal, sipping coffee, listening to music and chatting with friends before getting on with your day is a definition of a perfect morning for me. How do you spend your Sunday mornings? Let me know in the comments!

Have a nice evening and a great start to your week.

With Love,
Bri

  1. I am so familiar with your thoughts and feelings in the previous post. I'm glad to read that you seem to be feeling more positive in this one. Sundays are the perfect day to focus on relaxing and renewing your spirit before a new week starts. I like to start my Sundays off with a latte and catching up on magazines/blogs like yours! I'm so glad I discovered your blog through your comment on mariannan.com, because I really relate to a lot of it and I like reading a blog that is more focused on personal writings since so many of them stick to fashion and decorating, etc. Keep up the good work! You officially have one more regular blog reader! Have a great week!

    1. Dear Aimee,

I cannot begin to express how grateful I feel for your beautiful comment and support. It is difficult and somewhat scary to start something that you are passionate about, but to see that people like you can already relate to my stories and enjoy what I write after a bit more than a month of starting this journey, is so heartwarming and rewarding. I guess it is true what they say, that everything you want is on the other side of fear. I truly appreciate the fact that you took the time to tell me all this, and you have without a doubt put a smile on my face. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

      With Love,
      Bri
