In Bern

14:33:00

On Saturday I had a day off so I went to the beautiful paradise that is Switzerland. The thing I love most about living in Frankfurt is that everything is so close, by 4 or 5 hour drive you can be in the most beautiful European cities and spend there a day or two just to get away from routine for a little bit. It was not my first visit to Switzerland, but my first time in Bern. However, this time I did something that wasn't my usual behaviour - I didn't take my camera, so all the photos are from my iPhone. I did not forget to take my camera, it's just that this time I decided to bring only necessities, aka my wallet, lip balm, my sunnies and a few extra things that perfectly fit in a mini cross-body bag. I am still trying to pack as little as possible each time I go somewhere to enjoy the trip more, and this time I think I really succeeded.

The weather was perfect, over 30 degrees, people swimming in the river, everyone enjoying the sunshine. I am not gonna lie, exploring the cities in the heat is definitely a tricky task when it's hot but I am not going to expand on that, you have to deal with whatever you have in life. I survived the heat by consuming dozens of various drinks from coconut water to mango lassi, and to be honest even got a little tan so no compaints from me! Also, at the end of the day I dipped my toes in the river for a little while and it was a pure bliss, just sitting there and not rushing anywhere. Recently, I met one girl who gave me feedback about my photos, and she said it's boring and people want to see you and not some 'buildings and shit'. I wasn't offended, I like capturing nice little corners wherever I go and I hope that at least someone out there who reads my blog enjoys having a glimpse into the places I wander to! :) I have to go to bed now but I'll speak to you soon! (I hope).

  1. I ADORE your dress! I love all of your photos - I don't get to travel often, so I live vicariously through you and you have such a great eye, that I love to see the angles and perspectives you present in your photos. I think there are a million and one fashion blogs out there, and you go above and beyond the "outfit of the day" posts to be unique and share other aspects of your lifestyle as well. I really appreciate your blog! I check every day, just waiting for a new post! Imagine my happy surprise today when I saw TWO new posts!

    Happy Birthday again!

    1. First of all thank you so much! It means the world to me that someone actually takes the time of their day to look at some of the things I share here, and especially for someone always so kind and sweet like you it's a real pleasure for me! I am sorry I am not consistent with blogging but I try to share something whenever I am able to and the fact that it does not go unappreciated is the best reward I could think of. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support! <3
