While in South Africa

09:45:00

Waking up in South Africa, falling asleep in Dubai. This is my life now. It feels that days are flying by like minutes, yet sometimes they seem to drag on for an eternity. It is strange to be wide awake at 2am looking at the ceiling, and then not being able to get out of bed till 4pm the next day. I guess I was used to having a routine or being certain of what might happen in a day or two. Not anymore. The other day I found out I have flight to Johannesburg and I got so excited. Although last minute notice, I immediately researched what I have to see while I'm there and boy, did it exceed my expectations. I had the most wonderful 24 hours there, one hour of sleep and memories to last me for years to come.

Luckily, I gathered a group of people who wanted to see Johannesburg's hidden treasures and I didn't have to go alone. We went to the Lesedi Cultural Village and the Lion Park. Traditional dances, African songs, playing with baby lions and enjoying a change of scenery and temperature to the one in Dubai. It was one of the best day's and I couldn't have expected it to be any better. Take a look at this travel diary of Johannesburg, South Africa. And as we speak, I'm packing my suitcase yet again. Off to Australia tomorrow morning, and afterwards New Zealand. I will be away for 5 days so no posts for the next week. However, as always you can follow me on my Instagram. I hope you enjoy the photos. Talk to you soon! x

With Love,
Bri

  1. Beautiful! You were so made for this career of constant traveling! As much as I will be jealous of all that you get to see and experience, I despise packing and unpacking, and will not be jealous of how frequently you'll be doing that now. :-)

    1. I might or might have not forgotten to pack socks on one of my trips haha. I am a terrible packer and I always hated it but now that I always have a suitcase lying on my bedroom floor it kinda seems normal to unpack, do laundry, and pack new things in. So far, the struggle's been to pack accordingly - the temperatures are always different in reality to what the forecast says, which is quite annoying but I hope to get better at it with time. I will speak about the whole traveling lifestyle aspect more soon!

  2. Oh my god this looks like the best trip ever! I've wanted to go to Africa for the longest time and your photos just prove how beautiful it is. You weren't scary while holding the little puma or tiger, I don't know which one is haha. I'm glad you're having fun :)

    1. It is so beautiful, it's hard to put it into words! It's so vast as well that you'd need months if not years to really experience Africa as a continent. And those are called lion cubs, they were very sweet but he did bet me on my shoulder and arm haha. Not harshly though:)
